new-builds expected to pick up by Q4

Optimism in the market as GreenTech closes

After two challenging years and a great revival last year, this 2023 edition of GreenTech Amsterdam was really like 'old times' again, which is, like 2019 and before. Plenty of international visitors and several exhibition halls were well filled with booths of national and international, mainly horticultural technology, parties.

The new OMRI-listed papers of Ellepot are received well in the North-American market, David with Blackmore sees.

Not comparable to 2019 is the mood in the market. It is, especially among greenhouse builders, not as good as in the years before corona and on top of that, the energy crisis when construction was in full swing. Where there is new construction, the whole chain benefits. However, there's light at the end of the tunnel as it is expected things are getting started by Q4 as more and more projects are being commenced.

PHENOTYPING is the word that attracted great attention at the RAYN booth

Of course, today's challenges also create work. Solar panels on or integrated into a greenhouse roof, other energy solutions for maximum flexibility or energy savings as well as many gimmicks for saving labor were on display. Also, we found solutions to harvest CO2 from the open air, several AI powered products and other smart tools to improve cultivation, work in the greenhouse and to improve your overall ROI. And then there's of course LEDs. It seems like full led is where the market is going, although the benefits of HPS in several crops remains evident.

The team with Kingpeng is happy to be back at GreenTech! The company celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and had a great show. The Chinese market is in full swing. "After years of development, our international business has been exported to more than 60 countries and regions, and our high-quality services have been widely recognized by customers and partners", the team shares. During the exhibition, the company actively built an industry circle of friends, deepened communication with leading companies in the industry, and deepened win-win cooperation and development.

The team with NPI received great responses for their newly released chlorine-resistant liner.

On Monday we're publishing a full photo report. Stay tuned!
