Al Seeb Technical (SARCO), a subsidiary of the Qatar-headquartered business conglomerate Al Mana Holding, signed an agreement to establish a $50 million (OMR19 million) integrated logistics center at Oman’s Khazaen Economic City.
Diversified offering
Spanning an area of 37,000 square meters, the planned logistics center will provide a range of integrated storage and distribution services for SARCO, one of the key business entities operating in Qatar and the GCC region.
SARCO boasts a diversified portfolio spanning multiple sectors, including retail, distribution, trading, contracting, and real estate, with a strong foothold in various fields, including marketing, sales, and distribution.
Khazaen Economic City
To date, the cumulative investment in Khazaen Economic City has surpassed $500 million, spanning diverse sectors such as logistics, food, industrial, pharmaceutical, energy, and residential developments.
Khazaen is the fruition of an ongoing collaboration between Oman’s public and private sectors to establish a fully integrated economic development zone, bringing together a broad range of logistics, light industrial, and commercial businesses at one location to maximize efficiency, growth, and economic value creation.
The economic city is home to several strategic projects, including the Khazaen Dry Port and Food City, which hosts Khazaen Central Fruits and Vegetables market, Pharma City and Labour Villages. Moreover, the zone will integrate railway networks to further enhance connectivity within the region.
