Although some exhibitors had the feeling the 2022 Cultivate show was slightly slower than in pre-pandemic years, the event remains one of the best to meet up with suppliers active in the North American market. The show attracted more than 650 exhibitors and thousands of international guests.

While companies are all affected by the industry-wide challenges of material shortages and high costs, the overall vibe on the show floor was definitely a positive one. Exhibitors mention that they have been adapting to the challenges as much as they can, making the best of the situation. Some companies have even been doing better than ever, with demand continuing to rise and their services expanding.
Due to labor shortage being a major challenge across the industry, automation was evidently popular at the show. The many automated solutions, such as potting machines and watering systems, drew the attention of many passing by, looking for ways to create more efficiency. And of course, grower’s essentials such as lighting systems, growing media, and crop protection were not to be missed either.
Overall, the majority of the people we spoke to were certainly content with the results of this year's show. As it is the first edition back to its original form and size since the pandemic, the international diversity was very welcome and everyone was excited to meet up with the industry again.
