Prayon and Micronutri Fe, a biodegradable alternative to chelates

Prayon, a phosphate producer, has designed a polyphosphate solution to grow crops: MicronutrieFe. 100% chelate-free and soluble in water, MicronutrieFe is odorless, colorless, and fully biodegradable meaning it doesn’t leave any residual products. Problems with sludge or stains belong to the past.

The sensitivity of chelates to many disinfection technologies makes them very unpopular when purifying irrigation water. Removing them from the system and replacing them by iron-polyphosphates, significantly increases the efficacy of every disinfection unit run by ultraviolet light, peroxides, ozone, chlorination or activated carbon filtration.

Furthermore, plants tend to have higher levels of iron and other cations in plant tissue when iron-polyphosphate is dosed. The increased availability of cations like calcium increased the quality of greenhouse crops by reducing tip burn and blossom end rot.

In a nutshell, Micronutri Fe offers growers the positive effects of the absence of chelates and the presence of polyphosphates.
