High prices expected as Dutch cucumber season starts

The first Dutch cucumbers of the season have been harvested. This means that, starting today, the cucumbers are available again. To ensure the supply chain remains as short as possible, cucumbers can be transported directly from the grower, so to keep their freshness as much as possible.

According to Valstar’s John van Lieshout, they expect high prices, especially at the beginning of the Holland season.

At Valstar, they are looking forward to the coming Dutch season, and to delivering beautiful and quality products from their Dutch greenhouses straight to the customer. The harvest of these cucumbers is a great start to this season.

The cucumbers are available in a wide range of sizing and packaging. Customers can opt for packaging by box, but also for a multiple-use cask. The cucumbers can be supplied naked as well as sealed.
