TSW 2022 - the XII Fruit and Vegetable Industry Fair is behind us.
During this year's edition, 346 exhibitors from Poland and abroad presented their offer on 23,000m² of exhibition space. Within two days, the fair was visited by 11,146 people (each entrance was registered). Many guests came from abroad: Germany, Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, The Netherlands, Lithuania, Portugal, Ukraine, Italy, Egypt, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Uganda, Spain, Slovakia, Russia, Romania, Moldova, Bangladesh, Algeria and Turkey.
The ceremonial opening of the TSW 2022 Fair was made by: marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Adam Struzik, director of the TSW fair Jacek Kłudka and director of the Institute of Horticulture Prof. Dorota Konopacka.
For the seventh time, the Prof. Szczepan A. Pieniążek Awards were presented. Choosing the leader of this year's edition was extremely difficult, because this time as many as 21 products were submitted to the competition.
In the end, the jury selected three different winners: Timac Agro Polska Sp. z o.o. – for the range of BIOStimulants and liquid fertilizers DNA Performance; Królik Maszyny Sadownicze – for an innovative set of two trailers cooperating with platforms and orchard harvesters Królik bin handling; and Fertico Sp. z o.o. Instytut Agronomiczny Fertico for DNAexpress, a method of testing plant material that allows for very quick and accurate determination of the culprit of individual disease symptoms.
The jury also decided to award three distinctions, which went to: Nexbio Sp. z o.o. – for the Plant Pathogen Analysis service, Royal Brinkman Polska Sp. z o.o. – for the Moleaer Device, and Osmia Future Sp. z o.o. – for the BeeGrow mobile application.
Conferences
An integral part of TSW 2022 were industry conferences, during which Polish and foreign specialists gave over 50 lectures. Eminent scientists and practitioners shared their knowledge with the listeners.
A novelty during this year's edition were conferences:
– Fruit and vegetable processing,
– Ecological and sustainable gardening,
– Field vegetables. Industrial cultivation of legumes.
Nearly 2,000 people listened directly to the lectures, and over 12,000 watched the broadcasts via the Internet.
