The most important green vegetable production base in Tibet grows for the region

Tibet has formed a vegetable industry park to grow vegetables for the region. The vegetable planting area now amounts to 1106 hectares, with an annual output of 60 million kilograms of fresh produce making it the most important green vegetable production base in Tibet. This yield has driven the surrounding ten counties also to plant nearly 6666 hectares of vegetables.

The Xigaze Everest Agricultural Expo Park is the core support of Tibet's industrial park. The construction started in October 2016 and the third phase of the project was completed in 2019. It covers an area of ​​over 100 hectares and has 8 high-efficiency glass greenhouses and 128 modern greenhouses. The glass Venlo greenhouse is 42,700 square meters, and the varieties of fruits and vegetables have grown from two or three to 78. The annual output of green fruits and vegetables is more than 10 million kilograms, and the output value is more than 50 million RMB.

The three major parks have become the "three engines" that lead and promote the development of the Xigaze fruit and vegetable industry in the direction of standardization, scale-up, and branding.
