The Imereti Agro Zone in Georgia is about to be expanded. LLC Imereti Agro Zone announces the second stage of the 220 hectare Greenhouse Cluster Development project (GHCD) to be developed in Imereti region, Georgia.
"On November 1st, 2021, we have launched the formal Request for Proposal (RfP) process," says Archil Bukia, developer of the Imereti Agro Zone. "Now we invite interested parties, including greenhouse growers, agri-input suppliers, collecting and logistics operators, and investors to participate in the exciting opportunities IAZ Greenhouse Cluster Development project offers."
According to Archil, the IAZ GHCD represents an opportunity to invest in a centrally managed and fully serviced greenhouse cluster, providing foreign investors with the rare opportunity to purchase completely developed and service agricultural land in Georgia through a pre-defined approval mechanism.
"The area has a great climate, wonderful soils, and enough space for both organic as traditional cultivation. Labor costs are low and there are great market opportunities as the region connects East and West, North and South: the Russian border is nearby," he said earlier when the first phase of the Imereti Agro Zone was announced.
For further information, IAZ will hold virtual meetings with potential applicants during the week of 15- 21 of November 2021 to provide further details regarding the Project and to answer questions of potential applicants related to the opportunities offered under the RfP–Process.
