Bulgarian horti sector offers opportunities for Dutch business

On 16 November, join the exclusive webinar organized by the Netherlands Agricultural Office in Bulgaria in cooperation with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RvO).

With 5 million hectares, Bulgaria is the 12th largest EU country in terms of farmland area. Bulgaria is renowned for oilseeds, cereals, and medicinal and aromatic plants, but also a net importer of fruits and vegetables. That, however, is about to change.

Whether it is the pressure to meet growing domestic demand, to increase competitiveness, or to adapt to climate changes, local farmers seek to modernize and innovate more than ever. The sector will continue to be a priority during the next EU programming period till 2030, bringing significant funding possibilities and institutional support.

The webinar is on 16 November 2021, at 9.30-10.30 CET. You can participate in the Zoom meeting with the Webinar ID: 863 3858 1283

Tips and tricks from the Dutch and Bulgarian perspective will be shared by RvO Business Development Coordinator Johannes Kirpestein (Partners for International Business program for support of Dutch companies interested in the Bulgarian Horti Sector) and Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Georgi Sabev (Bulgarian horticultural strategy and financial instruments).
