Orance grows and moves to Wateringen

"Many requests for support in the field of lighting"

The Dutch consultancy and engineering firm Orance moved from Monster to Wateringen in late August. With the move, the company has gained a demo area.

The Orance growing team provides assistance to producers in the search for the most optimal supplemental lighting installation with the most suitable fixtures for their greenhouses.

"Adding a demo area has also made it possible, when discussing the various options, to actually physically compare the fixtures. We have them all here in house. That helps," says Arno Wartewig, founder of Orance together with René van der Sar. The new building also makes it easier to organize sessions and presentations to share knowledge.

Since August 27, 2021, Orance is located at the Stoelmatter 7d in Wateringen. In the picture, René and Arno in the new building with impressive pallet stairs.

Installation and energy issues involved
Arno says that "there's constant movement" in the lighting market; even more so than two years ago, when it was already really busy.

Arno and René decided to offer growers independent advice, but not only about fixtures. "We also advise on the installation and energy issues involved in a lighting system. Increasing attention has been paid to this recently, particularly because of the current energy market and the advance of LED, which is attracting more and more attention among growers. When making such a switch, it is very important to take into account the grower's entire electrical infrastructure and energy management. We have that knowledge in house, as well as about a very wide range of fixtures in the current lighting market."

The company's development is reason enough for Arno and René to also expand their team. Orchan Kulijev already joined the team last year, and recently Chris Langendoen joined, as well. Arno foresees further growth in the coming years. "In this new building we have room to grow. We also expect to welcome new colleagues in the coming year."

The new premises can certainly help with that. Orance, which likes to market itself as a supplemental lighting architect, bought the building, quite suitably, from an architect. Arno said that "this makes the building eminently suitable for us!"
