"Offering job opportunities to women with soilles agriculture project"

Aksaray Municipality received a grant of 1.8 million USD from Ahiler Development Agency for the project "Employment Increase with Soilless Agriculture" which fits within the framework of the 2021 Social Development Support Program carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The project will provide advantages in many areas from production to economy and contribute to women's employment.

Aksaray Municipality offers job opportunities to women with its Soilless Agriculture project, which has become increasingly widespread in recent years and increases the quality of agricultural production. The project, which is closely monitored by Mayor Evren Dincer, will contribute to increasing the quality of production as well as women's employment.

The project which was developed by the Aksaray Municipality project unit received approval from the Ahiler Development Agency within the scope of the Social Development Support Program with the aim of increasing production and employment. Nearly 60% of project costs will be covered by the grant support of the Ahiler Development Agency.

The soilless agricultural greenhouse, which will be built in the Tuzlusu area, will be set up using geothermal spring water. Tomato production will take place in this greenhouse, which will cover an area of 6 decares. It is aimed to produce 288 tons of tomatoes annually in greenhouses where disadvantaged people and women will be employed. In addition, women who are to be employed will receive 180 hours of training before starting to work.

Mayor Evren Dincer noted that with the help of geothermal spring water in soilless agriculture, high efficiency will be achieved with less cost, and thus production, quality, and employment will increase.
