In Doha, Qatar, a group of 6ha film-PC greenhouse is under operation. The first phase 1.8ha was successfully put into use in the year 2020. The remained 4.2ha were completed in February 2021.
These greenhouses are used for tomato growth and will supply the local market. With the consideration of the local temperature and sand storm, these greenhouses are equipped with an internal shade system, pad and fan cooling system, with roof single layer plastic film, and walls 8mm hollow PC. Every single unit is controlled by its own PLC controller. This design allows a lower first-time investment and ensured a proper growing climate inside the greenhouse.
