JungWan B-F, the creator of a plant virus spread inhibitor technology, officially announced that they have developed a product that can completely prevent the occurrence of CGMMV (Cucumber Green Mottle Mosaic Virus) occurring in Cucurbitaceae.
Seed soaker
"The Johnni-der V2 SEI, a seed soaker that has been sold so far, has prevented nearly 95% of CGMMV infection. Now the product has been successfully upgraded into the one that perfectly prevents 99% of the entire CGMMV dissemination, which is infected by mechanical contact when growing crops, through additional studies on the product until now," shares Do Kim, managing director with Jungwan B-F.
The company is convinced that this is a very revolutionary product and that it can be a product of great benefit to growers.
In addition, they insist that the product has excellent efficacy in preventing the outbreak of other viruses including TSWV and CMV, which are transmitted through insect vectors.
"In fact, in our home country, Korea, we have already obtained very good results by using it in a lot of farmlands," Mr. Kim says, adding that they are preparing to apply for a technology patent in the United States after organizing the data accumulated through experiments.
"We are confident that this technology will be of great help to many growers as it is fully developed, and promised to continue to support the products made by this technology to be used efficiently for many growers."
