Upgrading fans in an existing greenhouse

Multifan Greenhouse Fans have a long service life. Nevertheless, it may be worthwhile to replace the fans with a new, more energy-efficient, and more quiet model. Replacing greenhouse fans is usually not a complicated process. There are, however, several points to consider before ordering a new series of Greenhouse Fans.

Climate computer
If a climate computer is present, it is important to check beforehand whether the fan is compatible with it. Read more about the control of greenhouse fans and the points of attention. If the fan turns out to be unsuitable, please contact us. We are happy to help you select the right fan.

Replacement model with comparable m3/h
Preferably, choose a fan whose specifications match the current fan. Doing so makes it possible to exchange the fans 1 on 1, without affecting the greenhouse climate. After all, the circulation rate remains the same, and the fans stay in each other’s airflow.

Replacement model with fewer m3/h
To save energy or to reduce the noise level in a greenhouse, a fan that moves less air than the current model can be chosen. In this case, we recommend having a distribution drawn up again. This is important to prevent the air coming to a standstill in certain areas in the greenhouse, or to prevent an inefficient circulation system from developing.
