In Kolyma, Eastern Russia, the Talaya greenhouse complex has been launched. They are planning to grow tomatoes and cucumbers and in addition to that, 0.5 ha have been allocated for strawberries.

The ventilated and air-conditioned greenhouses are equipped with fogger systems. The complex is heating with the geothermal source, where the temperature reaches almost 90 degrees. The crops will be yielded all year round.

Local governor, Mr. Sergey Nosov announced that the authorities are expecting good crops. The product should be of high quality and very compatible.

There are other greenhouses in the Far East producing berries, yet Talaya will be the first experiment for Kolyma. The new complex should yield three to five tons of berries a year.
