The Martynovsky greenhouse complex in the Kurgan region has grown 10 thousand tons of cucumbers within 2020. Within the first four months of this year, the enterprise has produced 4 thousand tons of cucumbers and greenery.
“We are planning on reaching full capacity in 2021, which will allow us to increase the production volume to 15 thousand tons of vegetables and greenery”, reports the marketing department of Martynovsky.
A year ago, the greenhouse complex delivered the first batch of cucumbers to Kurgan, the only greenhouse vegetable grower in the area. The enterprise has over 340 employees. Most of the produce is delivered locally. Once the full capacity is reached, deliveries will be made to Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Novosibirsk areas and Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district.
The enterprise uses the most contemporary equipment and eco-friendly technologies. Thus, no chemical fertilizers are applied. The enterprise possesses its own biolaboratory where they grow entomophage, acariphage and microorganisms with an overall capacity of 3 billion pieces a year, which is enough to cover 300 ha of greenhouses. Tomatoes and cucumbers in Marynovsky are grown by means of hydroponics. The production cycle is fully automated; one operator is sufficient to control the production within 24 hours: temperature, humidity and CO2 level.
The successful investment project boasts certain financial achievements: over 12 million euro of profit for the past year with an overall 40.5 million euro investments.
