This comes on the back of a 144 percent increase in overseas sales over the last three years, and the subsequent transformation of its strongest markets. The US has now overtaken Hartley's domestic demand to become the manufacturer's dominant market. It has also broken into four additional international areas.
Hartley has been selling its glasshouses and greenhouses internationally for more than 20 years and has enjoyed a strong following in the likes of Germany and Scandinavia. However, global trade has increased significantly of late.
Chairman Martin Toogood said: "From our historic factory, tucked away at the base of Lancashire's dramatic Pennines' Chew Valley, our glasshouses are handmade by a local team ready to be shipped across the globe.
