Tomatoes by far the best-selling vegetable in Germany

In 2018, private households in Germany bought an average of around 11.3 kg of tomatoes. This makes tomatoes the most popular vegetable on the German market. Carrots and onions follow in 2nd and 3rd place, according to a data collection by Statista.
