Crawford Packaging has officially commenced construction of their new location in Essex, Ontario, Canada. This will be Crawford Packaging’s fifth location and represents an important milestone in the company’s 57 year-long history.
Located in the heart of the Produce and Industrial sectors of Ontario, this new 25,000 square-foot facility will host a warehouse, service shop, showroom, and office. As such, this new location will allow Crawford to better meet the needs of customers specifically in the South-West Ontario regions of Leamington, Kingsville, and Windsor.
While plans to expand to The Town of Essex have been years in the making, Crawford Packaging officials took part in a groundbreaking ceremony on July 8th to celebrate moving into the construction phase of the project.
“Providing opportunities for our clients to trial new packaging innovations at a local location will help reduce lead times,” says Stuart Jackson, Vice President of Produce Packaging at Crawford. “In addition, supplying from a local warehouse will reduce our carbon footprint while still providing unparalleled service.”
John Ashby, Crawford Packaging’s President, says of the new development: “We are excited to make the Town of Essex a new home for Crawford. Being here provides greater accessibility to the produce and industrial markets, allowing us to better serve those customers. We look forward to the opportunities this new location will bring us.”
