Flier Systems has projects all over the world with professional young plant growers and regularly comes into contact with another global player: Ideaal, a supplier of spacing machines. These contacts have resulted in a collaboration between the two companies that was formalized with a contract at the Flier Systems office on Tuesday, June 30.
The collaboration was celebrated by Ard Flier, General Manager at Flier Systems, Erick Gielen, director at Ideaal, Koen Lemmen, technical Commercial Manager at Ideaal and Ad Kranendonk, Head of Sales and Business Development at Flier Systems with a piece of vlaai.
The collaboration is a next step in serving professional young plant growers around the world even better. Both parties have many customers in common and hope that working together can provide added value.
Through this collaboration, Flier Systems takes the next step in its strategic direction: setting up the production space of the professional young plant grower. Ad Kranendonk mentions: "This collaboration is of extra interest to emerging markets and newcomers who want to have their automation and mechanization needs taken care of."
The advantage for Ideaal is that they can position themselves even more as a product specialist. This positioning fits in with Ideaal's business strategy of aiming to be the specialist in the field of mobile technology. In the longer term, the companies will make use of each other's knowledge and possibilities to be able to provide the customer with even more valuable information.
Koen Lemmen explains: "With regard to the information supply, for example, think about making location management in the greenhouse possible and informing the drivers about the pick-up and placement positions from a central database."
