Reduced price tags on carrots, parsnips, broccoli, potatoes and sprouts

Marks & Spencer drop Christmas vegetables' prices

Christmas may still be some weeks away, but Marks & Spencer has already launched its festive deals on seasonal vegetables. Spokes- people have said that the supermarket has reduced prices on carrots, parsnips, broccoli, potatoes and sprouts, in a bid to help those already in the festive spirit save a few pounds

The premium grocer said it's reduced prices on carrots, parsnips, broccoli, potatoes and sprouts. Items on offer include broccoli, 500g of both parsnips and Brussels sprouts, 1kg of carrots and 1.5kg of potatoes.

However, it may be worth holding out for even cheaper deals closer to December 25. Next week, several UK supermarkets are expected to drop their prices on vegetables, sparking a seasonal price war.

Last year Tesco kicked things off with 29p vegetables - a move that was quickly beaten by Aldi who responded with a 28p promotion. It may be worth holding out a little longer
