Turkmenistan: 30 hectare tomato greenhouse opened

A modern hothouse complex on the territory of Üzümçilik Farming Association has been put into operation in Gyoktepe etrap, Ahal Velayat (Turkmenistan). Hyakim of the velayat Serdar Berdimuhamedov, heads of local administration and public organizations, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and numerous residents of this place took part in the ceremony.

The total area of the complex, which has been built by Rysgal ojagy Business entity, is 30 hectares. Mainly, it will produce tomatoes of elite varieties. It is planned to produce 2,800 – 3,000 tons of high-quality eco-friendly production per year, which is in high demand both in local market and abroad.

The complex is provided with modern equipment from Holland, Spain, Denmark, Turkey, which allows supporting an optimum mode of lighting, temperature and humidity, irrigation and fertilization in automatic mode. It is planned to use bees for pollination.

Around 120 young specialists work in two shifts at the complex, which has canteen and recreation rooms.
