In the future, Taiwan Technical Mission in St. Lucia will guide the extension officers to establish hoop greenhouse demonstration farms in each agriculture regions. It is easier for farmers from different agriculture regions to learn and observe how to set up a hoop greenhouse and the cultivation management with it. In order to let farmers receive relevant information more quickly, the Ministry of Agriculture also invited the media to interview and witness the historic moment when the hoop greenhouse was first opened in St. Lucia.

The head of the mission, Mario, emphasized: The main reason Taiwan Technical Mission imported the hoop greenhouse is to provide an affordable greenhouse for the farmers in Saint Lucia to reduce the risk of producing fruits and vegetables during raining season, meanwhile increase the ability of stabilizing their production and income.

It can not only prevent the fruits getting rotten from the heavy rain, but also improve yield and quality, we hope that the hoop greenhouse will help the farmers in Saint Lucia.”

Taiwan Technical Mission in Saint Lucia will keep cooperating with the Ministry of Agriculture, they will set up two hoop greenhouse demonstration farms in each agricultural region, trying to produce the best possible results, please look forward to having fresh and delicious local fruits and vegetables every day during the rainy season in the future.
