Hortilife opens new building

Dutch companies provide Eastern Europe with greenhouses

"We had three small offices, not nearly enough. We work from the Netherlands with around 25 people", explains Pieter Jan Overkamp with Hortilife. The company opened a new building in the Dutch city of Deventer last weekend, but builds greenhouses in Eastern Europe. "Everything is coming from the Netherlands really, except for the glass."

Dutch newspaper De Stentor was present at the opening and talked to the men about the construction and the company. "There are a few other Dutch greenhouse builders active in Eastern Europe. But they all have their HQ in the Westland. We are traditionally from this part of the country."

In Deventer, Hortilife shares the building with QEP Holland, which produces technical products and components, and supplies to the greenhouse horticulture sector.
