At DL Plastics in Sint Annaparochie (in the northern tip of the Netherlands) the trucks drive off and on the lot with materials. The factory that produces storage tanks, silos, liners and so on will be expanded by 2,000 m2. Once construction is completed by summer, the factory will have more than 6700 m² of work floor and storage space.
Dutch products
Commercial director Bas van der Elst: "In our factory, a team of 25 people is busy cutting foil products every day, welding and packing the products and then shipping them all over the world. The approximately 3,500 DelafleX silo liners, the many DelafleX basin foils and bottom seals for the increasingly popular hydroponics systems are made in Friesland. The production is done in the Netherlands, so that we can guarantee the quality."

Strong team
At the horticultural fairs they are familiar faces: Bas van der Elst and Nicolle Peetoom are often on the road to show the silos on behalf of Hendic. In fact, they also represent family business DL Plastics, formerly De Lange Plastics, which acquired Hendic a few years ago. After the takeover, the Hendic name did not disappear. On the contrary, Hendic already had dealers all over the world and therefore a wide reach internationally. It made sense to leave the sales mainly in the hands of Hendic. DL Plastics does have some customers, but especially horticultural suppliers are referred to Hendic. Bas: "The combination Hendic and DL Plastics has made us strong in the last three years. Thanks to this combination and the growing demand for silos, we have experienced 100% growth", Bas concludes.
