The vegetable market seems quite depressed this year. Celery and cabbage only cost around 0.2-0.3 yuan [0.03-0.04 USD], and the price of pak choi has fallen below 0.1 yuan [0.01 USD]. The market has been like this for quite some time.

The overall market for the vegetable market has been relatively stable, mainly because of the temperature drop in many parts of the country last week. However, it is not a very large drop in terms of temperature. In addition, the winter vegetables in the south have also gone on the market one after another. If we look at various factors, the overall price has risen slightly.
This time is exactly the season when Pak choi is on the market, and its price is very cheap. Basically, the price per kilogram is only a dime. For many farmers, the profit of Pak choi in this quarter is in a loss state because of the high cost of watering and fertilizing every year.
Moreover, the price of Pak choi has been in a downturn all over the country. From August of this year to October, the overall price of Pak choi has almost risen to the highest value in five years. Because of the high temperature in summer and the impact of the rainny period, the yield of Pak choi showed a significant downward trend, and the cultivation of Pak choi in the north was postponed. When Pak choi went on the market in large amount recently, the output increased a bit, but the price kept falling. Up to now, it has dropped to the lowest value in the same period of five years. The purchase price is only about 0.8 yuan per jin.
