Chongqing Zoo celebrates Mid-Autumn festival with Mooncake for oldest living panda

"Panda lovers" and Chongqing Zoo employees celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival [24 September, 2018] by making a giant Mooncake for the largest extant panda in the world, "Xin Xing" [New Star].

Zoo employees mixed rice, chicken eggs, and soy beans together and added calcium, vegetable oil, and salt to create a large Mooncake. They then asked "panda lovers", kids who adore pandas, to decorate the cake with bamboo, apples, and dragon fruit, which are all foods that pandas love to eat. They celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival together with the panda.

The panda "Xin Xing" is the oldest, living panda at 36 years of age.
