Most northern Russian greenhouse being built in Komi
LLC Greenhouse complex Sosnogorskiy is the investment project in the Republic of Komi which began construction in December 2017.
The overall acreage of the greenhouse complex Sosnogorsliy is 11 ha. Upon the completion of the project, the greenhouse will be able to provide the population of the republic and other regions with cucumbers and tomatoes at the volume of at least 9.6 thousand tons per year, allowing to cover the need of the republic by a third. As of today, the republic demand on vegetables is over 40 thousand tons a year.
The anticipated volume of investments in the greenhouse complex is 49.87 million Euro, of which 34.63 million have been loaned. The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and has been included in the loan programme.
In the near future glazing of the greenhouses will begin. After that they will start internal works. Simultaneously with the frame, heating pipes are being installed. One of the requirements for receiving the loan was usage of no more that 70% of foreign equipment in the production, therefore the construction materials are mainly Russian (about 50%).
The electricity will be produced by gas piston equipment, allowing production cost reduction and therefore lowering the cost of produce.
