The new director, Mark van den Heuvel, gained more than enough directing experience with Dutch production companies in an international setting. "I'm a builder who wants to take the beautiful location of Eurofins Agro in Wageningen to the next phase. My experience in streamlining production processes and applying LEAN principles will serve me well in this," according to Van den Heuval. "The customer will experience this in even better supply, reliability and modernising the provision of service."

Internationale growth
After a period of handover, Martin Vervoorn will focus on the international growth of Eurofins Agro. In Europe Eurofins Agro has market positions in Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, among others. "There is still a world to be won," says Vervoorn. The knowledge and skill already coming from these countries to one company is an ideal basis to build on - including for the Dutch farmer and horticulturist. I expect the demand for data with directed advise to increase due to increasing scale size and increasingly strict product demands around food safety and environment. Eurofins Agro aims to support entrepreneurs in those developments. I believe it's a privilege to contribute to this from Wageningen - the heart of international agriculture."
