EU: FOODCOST consortium announces four food industry books

The third meeting of the FOODCOST consortium, which took place from 14 to 17 December 2015 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, was aimed to coordinate activities and advance publications. They announced books with the titles:
  • Sensory and Aroma Marketing
  • Neuromarketing for Food Marketers
  • Augmented Reality for Food Marketers and Consumers
  • Health, Nutrition, Food Consumer Trends and Product Development
The books will be published by Wageningen Academic Publishers early summer next year. The books will be available as paperback editions and online. Main target groups are university teachers and students from higher education levels as well as companies and research institutes related to the food industry.



Ten partners from nine European countries are responsible for the contents of the books. In 2014, the actors from science and industry joined together to promote the transfer of expertise and results from current research from theory into practice in food industry and commerce. A further aim of the initiative is to establish profound teaching standards with up to date learning contents for colleges and universities as well as in job trainings. The FOODCOST project is therefore co-founded by ERASMUS+ program of the European Union (Food Quality and Consumer Studies - FOODCOST; grand ID: 2014-1-SK01-KA203-000464).
