US (MI): New Mega Bio Chopper put into operation at Maroa Farms

Weterings and Royal Brinkman supplied Maroa Farms (Coldwater, Michigan, USA) with a brand new model of the Mega Bio Chopper. The crop shredder will be used for high speed shredding of plants (tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers a.o.) and leaves in hydroponic greenhouses.

The Mega Bio Chopper is completely redesigned to the highest level of safety, quality and ease of use. The machine is powered by an ultra-clean John Deere interim Tier 4 dieselengine, which meets the highest emission standards (98% clean!), making it ideal for removal of cultivations, while the new (interplanted) plants are already in the greenhouse.

The intake table on the front of the machine enables working from both sides. This way the greenhouse is cleaned out in one go. The shredder is fully remote controlled and equipped with a bunch of features, such as an integrated buffer, a swiveling output, automatic grinding unit, metal detection, independent tarp steering, easy access for maintenance and two 2200 liter tipping containers.
