Netherlands: Symposium on control of plant production by LED light

On Thursday 15 October the chair of Horticulture and Product Physiology, Biometris and Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture will organise the Annual Symposium of the BeNeLux Society for Horticultural Science, which will take place at Wageningen Campus. This year's theme is ‘Plant control by LED light’. During this symposium the latest insights on control of plant production by LED light will be presented.

There will also be an extensive discussion on City Farming and the use of LEDs therein.

LEDs provide exciting new possibilities to modulate spectrum and direction of light, to control instantaneously light intensity, and to decouple lighting from heating. This allows growers to not only control growth, development and yield of plants, but also to control quality, disease resistance and last but not least to save energy

BeNeLuxSHS 2015 Symposium is on Thursday 15 October in the Forum building at Wageningen Campus.
