"Holland: "Repair crews overloaded, not enough glass available"
And when you think that the situation couldn't get any worse; a landspout in Naaldwijk (Westland) took place last night and damaged another couple of window panes at a few more greenhouse companies.
According to statements from some glazing crews, there might be enough glass available, but not in the right sizes. Many of the greenhouses require a different size and these are not corresponding with the glass that is available on site.
Sources informed that many truckloads with new glass are needed in order to repair the damage at the Dutch growers.
The CCG (Greenhouse Calimity Coordination team) has asked all Dutch greenhouse builders to put the repairs on the top of the agenda and to supply extra workforces.
