Mixed indoor flower gardens are popular this Spring

Over the last months, North America had to deal with very cold days and nights. With Easter just around the corner, people are really looking forward to Spring. Therefore, many people are brightening up their homes with flowers. In Canada, mixed indoor flower gardens are very popular this year. This is explained by George Scott, owner of Scott's nursery in Lincoln, Canada.

A bright bouquet of flowers is a common way to decorate your home for Spring. This year, however, George sees a large demand for mixed indoor flower gardens. "As it is too cold for the Canadians in our part of Canada to enjoy the flowers in their garden, this garden gives them the chance to care for their 'miniature' garden indoors."

The mixed indoor flower garden consists of a mixture of flowering and tropical plants, which are often maintained in baskets or containers. These plants are cultivated in their 6 acre-sized greenhouse and sold in their flower shop in Lincoln, as well as other Garden Centres in Atlantic Canada.

Also George is ready for spring. "Over the last month, we had a snowstorm every weekend. Now it is April and the weather will hopefully turn-around soon, then we can put our plants outside. It is already sunny by day, but during the nights it is still freezing."
