Dutch Excellence: a strategic outlook of opportunities in Asian horticulture

Doing business in Southeast Asian horticulture requires some insight into the market. That is why a Dutch Excellence platform is organized to share Dutch knowledge at the upcoming Horti Asia trade show in Bangkok, in March 2015.

As part of the program, several speakers will share their views and expertise on the potential of greenhouse horticulture in Asia.

Confirmed speakers are:

-Arie Veldhuizen , the new Dutch Agricultural Councilor for Vietnam and Thailand.

-Oscar Niezen of CoHort Consulting, who will give a strategic outlook of opportunities in Asian horticulture. As well as this, Niezen is the chairman during the plenary sessions that will feature the following speakers;

  • Kasper Rietvelt of Anthura topic will be the art of breeding and propagation for flowers and plants
  • Barry Zuidgeest of Mardenkro on Climate control and sun protection with the use of advanced shade paint.
  • Arjan Janmaat of Hortimax will give a presentation on sustainable water management, control & automation.
  • Rene van Rensen of Fresh Studio - Present and future developments in Vietnam.
  • Luuk Runia of Asian Perlite Industries - Malaysia your hub into Asia

This Dutch Excellence program will be the perfect platform for those who want to obtain key information in regards to floriculture and food production in the ASEAN.





Just like the previous editions, The Netherlands will play an important role during the 2015 Horti Asia. Once again, Dutch horticulture will be present in a large country pavilion at the show. The 2015 Horti Asia will take place from March 17 – 19, 2015 at the BITEC exhibition centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
