Eyecatcher: Furora!
What immediately catches the eye in the IFTF stand of Bercomex is the Furora. Bercomex builds on the experience gained over the last four years with the delivery of more than 90 Furora bunching machines. Annually over 1 billion flowers are being processed with Furora systems worldwide, especially tulips, but also chrysanthemums and summer flowers are being processed with uniform bunches as a result. The Furora is now being developed to also sort and bunch roses. This development is based on close cooperation with various growers. Advanced camera techniques assess each rose on stem length, stem thickness, bud size and bud height. Next, roses can be bundled with the new Quadro bunching station. Work continues on optimizing this rose processing system the coming months. The next few months the next steps are being made in the completion of this promising development.Modernization of semiautomatic processing system for roses
South American growers have special needs for automation of specific steps in the bunching of flowers. In consultation with growers, important options were added to the proven RoseMatic system, such as a deleafing module and, a spray module (concerning botrytis control). After the process of grading, roses are collected in chutes.FloraOptima is user-friendly
Furthermore the FloraOptima is being demonstrated during the IFTF. This new flowerline is more user-friendly than the previous flowerlines, because the FloraOptima includes a simpler control system. The flowerline can be operated more easily and can also be delivered with a computer-controlled touchscreen. During the IFTF, the FLoraOptima is being showed with an axial deleafing module. This new leaf stripping module carefully moves back and forth over the stem ends, which results in a better deleafing result with the retention of the stem quality.High tech solutions for a flower market that increasingly demands more
