Second geothermal drilling in Westland completed

Since last Tuesday, Zijtwende has been working hard to dismantle the platform where drilling took place as part of its geothermal project Geothermie. Zijtwende's second geothermal drilling in De Lier has been completed.

The drilling is a joint project from the tomato companies Harting Holland and De Bruijn. Together, the two companies own 47 hectares of tomatoes in De Lier. At the end of the year 2013, orders were issued for the geothermal drilling in De Lier, the construction of the conductor pipe and the drill site. In January, the drilling of the conductor tubes started on the location. The drilling started in April.
