Dutch screen installer Leen Huisman declared bankrupt

Last week, another Dutch horticultural supplier went bankrupt. Leen Huisman, developer and installer of screens and blackout systems, was officialy declared bankrupt by the Dutch court. Leen Huisman has been on the market for over 40 years. Adjacent companies Huisman Scherming BV and Ruud Vlottes BV were also declared bankrupt.

It is the third large bankruptcy in the Dutch greenhouse supplier sector this year. Earlier Arend Sosef and greenhouse builder Zwirs Knijnenburg filed for bankruptcy. As the Dutch greenhouse market is going through a rough time, suppliers are also challenged.
