US (PA): Aquaponics greenhouse to expand education in Pittsburgh

Growing up in the Manchester neighbourhood in North Side, Quincy Kofi Swatson was looking to earn some extra income. He quickly fell in love with urban agriculture. Now he's hoping to inspire others. With the Door Campaign, Swatson is looking to build an educational aquaponics greenhouse at the Family Support Centre in the Northview Heights housing complex. A combination of a hydroponics greenhouse and aquaculture fish farm, the greenhouse would bring educational opportunities to the community as well as fresh, sustainable produce for residents and businesses located in the North Side.
