Asia: Arend-Sosef realizes first LED inter-lighting project in Japanese horticulture

Last summer, Arend-Sosef International started with the realization of a unique pilot project in Asia: the installation of the first LED inter-lighting system for tomato crops in Japanese horticulture. In the meantime, the installation at Hibikinada Green Farm, close to Kitakyushu, has taken place. Our supervisors have successfully installed the LED inter-light modules on a test area of 5.000m2.

The main goal of the installation is to increase tomato production and growth in this area with low sunlight levels. Hibikinada Green Farm has already shown great satisfaction with the realization of the project. The result after 3 weeks of lighting is a better and healthier plant. If the results continue to be successful, they intend to expand the inter-lighting system.
