HTA members are set to benefit greatly from a new partnership between the HTA and expert negotiating company ReSharpen who aim to help build more effective and profitable relationships between businesses and their trading partners.
ReSharpen, is the latest company to become a new partner in the HTA Cost Reduction Programme (CRoP) helping cut operational costs for horticultural businesses. ReSharpen focuses on negotiation, cost-cutting and giving businesses greater control. Their services are relevant to suppliers and retailers and can be successfully applied across all areas of horticulture. Recent successes include a £300k annual cost reduction for a leading UK garden centre group along with significant successes in smaller businesses as well. ReSharpen will also work with suppliers to improve their negotiation outcomes.

Supply chain expert Joanna Dyson will be taking part in The Big Debate at the HTA Garden Futures Conference which takes place on 17 October at One Great George Street, London. The debate will focus on growing your market through the supply chain.
In addition, Steve Jones, Executive Director of ReSharpen will be speaking at HTA Seasonal Plants Focus 2013 which takes place on 21 November at Young Plants Ltd, Stratford-upon-Avon. Steve will highlight the top five reasons why people do poor deals and offer hints and tips on how to turn negotiation from a black art into a straightforward science.
