Spain: Agrupalmería resumes operations in La Cañada
Agrupalmería resumed activities on Tuesday in the new refurbished facilities in La Cañada with which they expect to market a daily volume of over one million kilos.
Specifically, the horticultural marketing has started using a new 30,000 square meters logistics area in La Cañada where they can park trucks, package and can products.
They moved to this new area after the Agricultural Cooperative San Isidro (CASI) acquired Agrupalmería's facilities located opposite the airport of Almeria.
Agrupalmería informed that they are beginning this new stage with great enthusiasm and the goal of "diversifying their products as well as their work systems". They will also open their offices in Vicar and El Solanillo, where they'll be implementing a new work system, throughout this week. Activities in Nijar, which remained open all summer, continue as usual.
The company is marketing zucchini and cucumbers but is best know for its tomatoes, especially for its RAF variety; the company's hallmark.
