Netherlands: Large marijuana plantation in old cucumber nursery

In a former cucumber nursery in the Dutch town of Venlo, 1,500 cannabis plants were found this week. Police have arrested two men, local press reports. The police discovered the marijuana plantation during an audit. In the basement of the building two growing rooms were furnished. A 47-year-old man was arrested on the spot. A 36-year-old local resident could be detained following a short chase.

The marijuana plantation was using illegally obtained electricity. The equipment and all plants are seized. Police are investigating the case.
