Dutch grower Van Adrichem looking to expand

Vine tomato nursery Van Adrichem wants to expand business on greenhouse area Westdorpe at Terneuzen. A permit was applied for, as the breeder wants to erect a brand new building. "We want to get started as soon as possible," says Loek van Adrichem.

The company is run by four brothers: Geert, Jos, Steef and Loek van Adrichem. At two locations, in Steenbergen and in De Lier, tomatoes are grown on an area that has grown through the years to nearly 20 hectares. Expansion was no longer an option at the old location and the Westdorpe area is ideal. "In Terneuzen we want to grow sustainably using waste heat. The area is favourable due to the residual heat and CO2 from Yara," says Loek van Adrichem.
