The project is realized by Bom Group. The modern Venlo greenhouse, with 8.00m trellis girder, has a column height of 7.00 m and features a white-coated twin-light ® substructure, also developed by the Bom Group.
The deck of the greenhouse is equipped with Diffulite ® diffused glass, with an AR (anti-reflection) treatment, and has a width of 1.67 m. It also features frameless toughened vents, also diffused. The cover glass and the frameless side windows have a direct air-hardened light transmittance of more than 96%, a hemispherical light transmission of about 88% and a haze factor of approximately 30%. All exterior walls are provided with 16mm polycarbonate sheets.

The new structure is also equipped with a dual screen setup, bearing the Bom Group-developed ABS system screen. For the cloth, the top installation was provided with XLS 10 Ultra Revolux and the lower installation with XLS 10 Revolux.
Westhof Bio's objective with this greenhouse, is to be able to achieve produce that is completely carbon neutral, and reached without the use of fossil fuels. This objective is attained by including a biogas plant, which is fed by the residues of the 700 ha. outdoor cultivation of Westhof Bio Group.
