Turbofog for perfect greenhouse disinfection

Last Friday a decontamination team of Van Eck Bedrijfshygiëne showed up at tomato grower KBB Holland in The Netherlands with a Turbofog machine to disinfect the greenhouse. HortiDaily was there to make the following Photo report.

The Turbofog arrived late last Friday, to coincide with KBB's greenhouse activities. All of the rubble had already been cleared. By fogging Friday night, the formaldehyde can do its work during the weekend.

The Turbofog is made ready. Some 1,000 liters of formaldehyde is used in the fogging process.

By special request there can also be fogged against whiteflies.

Nursery 1 of KBB Holland looks in excellent shape. The company has 3 nurseries with a total range of 17,4 hectare.

The fogging machine is backing up into the greenhouse, allowing the formaldehyde to reach all corners.

Fogging a 5-hectare area takes about an hour.
