Reinke Manufacturing has announced the acquisition of Scott Specialties, Inc.'s industrial assets in Belleville, Kansas—including facilities, equipment, and real estate holdings—following the orthopedic soft goods manufacturer's decision to close.
"We've always taken pride in being a good employer and community partner," said Jim McDonald, president of Scott Specialties. "While the decision to close was incredibly difficult, our priority was to ensure that our employees—many of whom have been with us for decades—had a path forward. Doing this with Reinke allows us to do just that. Their values align with ours, and we're grateful that our skilled workforce will have the opportunity to continue their careers in a growing, innovative industry."
"As a family-owned company, we recognize the value of skilled craftsmanship and hard work," said Chris Roth, president of Reinke Manufacturing. "The talented team at Scott Specialties has long been a pillar of the community. We're proud to welcome them into the Reinke family and provide new career paths in irrigation technology while expanding our operational footprint in Kansas to support growers globally with industry-leading solutions."
The acquisition establishes a second operational center in Belleville, Kan., complementing Reinke's existing facility there. This expansion reflects Reinke's ongoing commitment to advancing agricultural water efficiency, investing in rural communities, and fueling economic development. Former Scott Specialties employees will have the opportunity to transition into precision irrigation manufacturing roles—applying their experience in production, assembly, and engineering to support Reinke's innovation in mechanized irrigation.
