Roof suspension system designed as retrofit for existing A-frame greenhouses

Allowing the installation and replacement of film panels without having to walk through the cultivation area is one of the key features of Novavert's HS2 system. However, economic constraints have increased the price of the required aluminium extrusions. That's why the company dev eloped HS BRAVO: a roof suspension system designed as a retrofit for existing A-frame greenhouses, allowing growers to choose from a wider variety of materials.

HS BRAVO was developed in response to high demand from the retrofit market for existing retractable roof greenhouses. "We launched HS2, our modular screen system for horticulture, more than a decade ago and it's still a good choice for new greenhouses, but we could not penetrate the retrofit market well enough for cost reasons," says Niclas Heescher. "HS2 requires aluminium extrusions, and currently these have become cost-prohibitive in the US due to the tariff war."

Still, many greenhouse owners are looking to replace existing roof screens, and that's why the Novavert team began drawing, designing, engineering, and testing—both in lab and field settings. Now, serial production of HS BRAVO has begun.

HS BRAVO is compatible with all A-frame roof screens and allows growers to choose from a wider range of materials. "This increases flexibility for growers and allows them to choose the material best suited to their climatic conditions and challenges." In addition, the team in Germany focused on ease of installation. Niclas points out that there are no more sewn-on tapes or hooks. "So things just got a lot easier."

HS BRAVO is tailor-made to fit any greenhouse. The first commercial installation has just been completed, with more projects following in the coming months.
