Writing this with a morning coffee, preparing for the last day of the trade show. But if the newsletter is being sent, it's almost a wrap for the 2025 edition of GreenTech. Shifting from no trains and rain to a smooth and sunny day in Amsterdam, the event united the global horticultural industry once again.
Today, the trade fair closes its doors at 4 p.m. It is the last chance to look for a technical solution to that pressing problem, to meet that one customer or potential customer in person instead of behind a computer screen, and to discuss investment plans, which fortunately also happened at the trade fair. We are almost scared to say it, but despite all challenges in the market, the industry seems to be in a more positive mood than it was over the last couple of years.

Royal Brinkman had something to celebrate, because the company has been around for 140 years. The extra long evening opening of GreenTech Amsterdam on the Day of the Dutch Grower came in handy for this. On the second day of the fair, it was the ideal opportunity to catch up over a bite to eat and a drink.

Fun fun fun
For some exhibitors, a trade fair is also an opportunity to come up with something fun. For example, at Oerlemans Plastics you could play darts against a professional darts player, and Van Onselen Aubergines employee Dirk van Duijvenbode can also be fooled on Thursday by the illusionist that Rovero brought to the trade fair, and there are also plenty of screens to entertain you. In the case of Source.ag, a screen to play a game on and get the high score by turning a number of climate and cultivation knobs, and at 30MHz to get to know their new AI Assistant.
