The second phase of the Cuihu Intelligent Agriculture Innovation project will be completed by the end of May 2024. The project spans an area of 11 Ha, and is designed with four major sections: a research greenhouse, nursery greenhouse, an intelligent glass greenhouse, and a semi-closed greenhouse.
Research greenhouse
The research greenhouse is divided into 11 compartments, equipped for breeding and research of blueberries, strawberries, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, leafy vegetables, etc. Compared with ordinary greenhouses, the research greenhouse has higher requirements for airtightness, and a more precise control of climate and environmental conditions.
According to the different research crops, each compartment uses different supporting systems. For example, the strawberry research greenhouse adopts an advanced soilless vertical planting system, consisting of an intelligent greenhouse structure, a liftable hanging soilless cultivation system, and a water fertilizer integrated precise irrigation and fertilization system.

Nursery
The nursery greenhouse is equipped with complete facilities, among which the tidal seedling bed uses the tidal phenomenon to simulate, combined with the nutrient circulation system and timed irrigation technology, it can more accurately control the water content, keep the seedbed in a moist environment while promoting oxygen circulation, increasing the ventilation of plant roots, helping to control soil pH and temperature, reduce pests and diseases, provide excellent environmental conditions for seedling cultivation, and the tidal seedling bed also has the characteristics of water-saving and high efficiency, high water and fertilizer utilization rate, which can achieve efficient utilization and management of water and fertilizer.
"Intelligent multispan glass greenhouse is optimized based on the Phase I project, adopting advanced technologies such as intelligent environmental control system, roof-opening system, a double-layer shading system for shading and sun protection, automatic fertilization system, water-saving irrigation system, etc., and applying modern agricultural organization and management models to achieve crop safety, standardization, and professional production.
The semi-closed greenhouse is a comprehensive greenhouse that can be used for large-scale production with cooling, heating, CO2 supplementation, and ventilation requirements. It can solve the problem of cooling and dehumidification in summer, achieve year-round greenhouse production, and is one of the more advanced greenhouse forms internationally. It has high controllability, high uniform environmental conditions, low ventilation rate, and efficient energy-saving positive pressure greenhouse, which is conducive to large-scale production. The equipment of semi-closed greenhouse is mainly concentrated in the climate zone at both ends of the greenhouse. Cold and hot air and CO2 gas are evenly distributed to the interior of the greenhouse through EC supply air fans and ducts.
Semiclosed greenhouse has multiple insulation and cooling modes, more precise environmental control, and the air pressure inside the greenhouse must be greater than outside, effectively preventing some pests and diseases, making crop growth healthier and safer!"
